What are you thinking of majoring in, in college?

I am very interested in BioPyschology, but I am attending a liberal arts university so I am going to be taking classes in a wide range of departments. I am going in with a very open mind about my major.

What are you looking forward to most playing about college lacrosse?

Similar to my BearLax team, I am looking forward to playing with a group of girls that are all passionate about lacrosse in the same way that I am. I am also excited to be on another team because my BearLax and high school teams have all become my best friends.

What will you miss most about Tenacity Texas/BearLax?

I will miss the people! My team and my coaches are some of the best people I have met in my time during high school and I look forward to staying close with all of them.

What is a MUST HAVE item you will be bringing with you to college?  (for your dorm room, for school/lax, etc.)

A warm jacket!

Who was your biggest lacrosse influence in Houston/Bay

Julia Southard, my goalie coach, completely transformed my play and has definitely been my biggest influence.

What is one piece of advice you would give players for learning to handle pressure as a student-athlete?

I would tell girls that communication is the most important skill that you can have as a student-athlete. If you keep a dialogue with your coach, teachers, and parents about your academic and athletic commitments you avoid most conflicts that can arise. On top of that, using lacrosse as a break from school work has been a huge aid to my productivity as a student.

What is a piece of advice you could give underclassmen for setting goals and implementing a game plan for becoming good at things?

I think the most important piece of setting goals is to find someone that can help and push you to reach those goals. My coaches have been a huge influence to me and always keep me accountable when I am focusing on a specific goal or part of my play.

What does “Tenacity” mean to you?

To me, tenacity means staying feisty. It means doing the little things and working relentlessly towards your goals.
